Very rare and oddly sought after! The BBC TV series Monkey, also known as Monkey Magic, was based on the Chinese novel Journey to the West by Wu Cheng’en. The series had two seasons, each with 26 episodes, that aired from 1978 to 1980. The series featured a catchy theme song called “Monkey Magic” by the Japanese band Godiego, as well as other songs by the same band for the ending credits and some episodes. The soundtrack of the series was released as an album called Magic Monkey in 1978.
