All the King’s Horses is the title of the second album by American saxophonist Grover Washington Jr., released in 1972. The album features seven songs, including covers of Aretha Franklin’s “All the King’s Horses”, Bill Withers’ “Lean on Me”, and Henry Purcell’s “Love Song 1700”. The album showcases Washington’s smooth and soulful jazz style, as well as his skills on both alto and tenor saxophones. The album was produced by Creed Taylor and recorded at Van Gelder Studio in New Jersey. A must for all GWJ fans, great on the headphones too.
